The world of marketing is changing as we know it. This article/blog on by Reggie Bradford, who is the senior vice president of product development for Oracle, explains how customer service is becoming the new marketing. Today’s world is a huge connected digital environment with consumers having powerful computers constantly at their fingertips and making online social interactions with companies more prevalent. Thus increasing the significance of the customer experience or CX for short-hand. Increasing CX satisfaction will be the guiding factor in significant business model changes in the next 3 years putting Customer Service at the forefront. “And marketers will need to implement CX strategies and supporting technologies that tie traditional customer service functions together with new social network management operations.” In other words, effective customer service is marketing's new priority making customer service the new marketing.

We have had some new recruiters join us here in the last year that I would love to introduce to everyone!

First, I would like to introduce Morgan Oestmann. She is a WSU Alum and is an active member of Young Professionals of Wichita. She previously worked at Emprise bank where she was a lead teller and teller trainer where she truly loved getting to know her customers whom she misses. She also currently does bookkeeping for her family’s business. She loves the Seattle Seahawks, reading, mexican food, summer, and being outdoors. Her favorite part about Choson so far is when she has the opportunity to call a candidate to tell them they got the job!

Secondly, we have Joshua Massoni. He attended KU and the University of Illinois. Some of his previous work experience includes; customer service representative for Baisch and Skinner, grantwriter for the American Red Cross, and a family court party representative in Illinois. He describes himself as a news and baseball junkie! He likes Mediterranean food and enjoys reading history books! His favorite part about working at Choson so far is hearing about someone’s goals and experiences and helping them turn it into something concrete.

We can’t say enough about what an excellent addition they have been to Choson Resource already! Their friendly and outgoing personalities are the perfect fit to help drive us to Our Mission:

Choson Resource continually strives to be the Staffing Industry Leader of choice by empowering businesses with the highly qualified and knowledgeable individuals through the efforts of a professional dedicated team committed to achieving excellence in customer satisfaction.

When preparing for an interview there are lots of ways you can help yourself put your best foot forward. CareerBuilder often has lots of helpful advice and tips that will help you do just that!

For example, most of us know that you should do some research on the company before you go into an interview. However, what exactly should you be researching?

February 2015 Jobs Report

February 2015 Jobs Report

Deanna Hartly was gracious enough to blog about the important highlights from the recent February jobs report on careerbuilder and we would like to share those highlights today!

Frist, there were 295,000 jobs added in February and the unemployment rate dropped to 5.5%. Both figures surpassed economist expectations and the unemployment rate is at the lowest it has been in almost 7 years.

Second, we are heading in the right direction with February being the 12th straight job gains over 200,000. Also, the average job gains for the last 3 months was 288,000/month.

Thirdly, there is still plenty of room for improvement. Especially in the wages/ annual wage growth area as employers have been less apt to increase pay.

All and all, things are looking good and are continuing to look up!

Best Senior Prank

Best Senior Prank

The Wichita Eagle posted a great article earlier this week I just thought I would share. It is so nice to be able to share such positive and inspiring articles about people in our local community doing good things!

The North High principal, Sherman Padgett, was very reluctant when asked to hold an old paint pail out in the high school hallway. I would imagine even more so, when he learned it was part of a senior prank, but being a good sport did as he was asked. To his surprise, this prank was like no other. Several students came by one by one and put a note into the pail. The notes were words of gratitude and kindness for Mr. Padgett.

Truly the best senior prank I have ever heard of! May act of kindness fill your weekend!

Read more about Mr. Padgett and the student who came up with the idea, Emily:
